Update on the tiny hearts

As of today I have reached the half-way mark of making the tiny hearts. I have managed to complete 717 pieces of these hearts. I think I can do them all with time to spare before the end of May.

I realised that I have not shown a good picture of the hearts that I am making. Here is one showing the main three designs and one variation of it. Each one is less than 2.5cm at the widest point,

However, a lot of tatting ideas are floating around in my head and waiting to be tried out. I want to get these hearts done as quickly as possible so that I can start realising these ideas.

  2. Hi Jon, thanks for posting the picture of the tiny hearts and the diagram in the post below.
they are just what I am looking for. I am going to be tatting some things for my daughters wedding and these will fit perfectly on the ends of the ribbons for the bouquets that the bridesmaids will be carring.

  3. These are very pretty little hearts. I can see them as Valentine earrings for my youngest niece.

  4. Thank you TattingChic, Valerie.

Ladytata, I can visualise just how pretty the bouquets are going to look like with these tiny hearts dangling from the tips of the ribbons.

Marty, would love to see how you turn them into earrings. Your niece will have to wait a long time for the next Valentine's Day to come round. Maybe you can make the earrings for her birthday.
