Phew! It is Done .. Finally

I never though I'd finally finish this.... but I just did .... almost one year from the day I started it. There were long breaks in between, where I worked on other projects just to have a change.

Not saying much about it ... just feeling glad that it is over. The finished doily measures 32 cm across or 13 inches. It used up almost one ball of DMC Cordonnet size 30. The design is in the basic rings and chains, and clovers with the exception of a round of split rings somewhere in the middle round.

Here is a scanned picture,

and the picture in full.

But one thing for sure, it will be a loooooong time before I start on another one this size, :-)

  2. Thank you Diane, Sherry.

One of the reasons it took so long was deciding how the next round was going to be. At the seventh round, I decided that I've had enough of this one and that the eighth round is going to be the last one.

  5. It is beautiful Jon. I understand about getting bored and having to put things aside for a while. I do it all of the time on big projects. I'm glad that Clyde inspired you to finish it!

  6. TQ Shay, Barbara and Laura.
Yes Shay, it can be mind-boggling. But, as mentioned in one of the blogs that I've read (I think it's Aileen's Wicked Tat), it helps to maintain a level of sanity, :-)
