NB Doily Progress

I finished the centre wheel motif up to Round 1 of the NB Doily from the previous post.
I want to use a solid colour for the next round and can't decide between these two.

  1. The pink seems a perfect match, but the gold would provide such a beautiful contrast...a difficult choice! It looks beautiful so far!

    1. Initially, I had chosen the gold yellow but felt that it may show too much contrast.

  2. It's lovely. I like the yellow for the next round but I'm looking at it through a computer. : )

    1. Yes, the colours may look slightly different depensing on the computer monitors, but it is more towards gold rather than yellow.

    1. To save the pattern, click on any of the heading that shows - print, pdf, jpg, etc (on top of the column on the left).
Clicking 'TXT' will give you the OCR text only without the image of the doily, which you can also save on your computer.

  6. I really like this pattern and the colors. If your next round is going to be half the height as the last on, I would go gold, but if it is supposed to be the same height or larger, I would use the pink. But that is just me :-)

  7. The doily is looking good. It's great that you made it to the 2nd round without a cut and tie. As to the color, both look good with the center but I'm leaning toward the pink. I think the gold would be a bigger contrast. I guess it would depend, too, on what you are going to do after that.

  8. The color choice will depend on the look you are going for. The Golden Yellow will pop against the variegated, and the pink will fade a bit in to the background.
The choice will depend on where you will be using it as well.

  9. I think pink,I think the yellow would draw the eye too much and detract from your lovely variegateds! But look forward to seeing what you choose.

  10. I vote for pink. Unless you plan to do one round of solid, continue in the variegated, and then do the last round in the gold-yellow. I think the gold is great for pop, but the pink would give a more unified appearance. I really should have looked at the number of rounds before commenting because that is a big factor...

  11. I vote for both, using both colours using two shuttles on the next round,
