I am Tired .......

*sigh* I am tired!
My parents are not well. I have been taking turns with my other siblings taking care of them since the past two months. I travel daily to my sister's, cos that is where they are now. I leave my house at 7.00am and come back at about 4.00pm or 5.00pm.

I am so tired!
I don't get to do much tatting now. I used to be able to put in a few hours of tatting during the day, but not anymore. It has turned for the worse for my mom and any spare time I had was spent taking a nap or just resting. And when I come back home, I am already flat out after dinner, in front of the telly. Instead of me watching the telly, it is 'watching' me, LOL.

I am very tired!
I bring my laptop with me everyday, hoping that I can work on documenting my patterns, but I don't even have time to check my mails. If you have written to me and not received any replies, I apologise. I will try to do it when I eventually get to read them. If it is of something important or urgent, please re-send to me so that it is back on top of the file again and there is a better chance of me reading it.

I am tired, *sigh*

  3. Is that was why you had to rush to Bangi? I wish you the best and make sure you take care of yourself. There is no use if you are sick.

  4. Bless your heart. I wish I was there to help you. I know first hand how difficult this is, emotionally and physically. I'm not sure which is more debilitating. I hope your mom's condition will improve. We miss you and appreciate you giving us an update. Take care of Jon.

  6. Hi Jon, I understand your situation! My parents were ill past year and looking after them caused a lot of tiredness, not only phisycall, but overall psycological 'cause I was very worried for them. My best wishes that your loved parents will restore their health soon! Chiara =)

  7. Thank you for such kind words. Yesterday was particularly tiring, hence the post. I barely had an hour of rest all day yesterday. I was in need of a BIG group hugs, and I know I can get it from my buddies here.

Thankfully, today was better. My mother was calmer and she managed a few hours of rest and sleep. But, the road ahead is still very long and hard. Your kind thoughts will help me through. Thank you so much.

  8. Jon, I hope you find the strength to keep on going. My sisters and I had a similar situation with our parents in December and January -- except they came to stay with us. It is a lot more work than taking care of yourself because of the worry. I hope things go well for your parents and your family. (((((Jon and family)))))

  9. I know how you feel. Three years ago my last remaining parent(mom) started not to respond to dialysis and began many trips to the hospital because of complications. It was very hard and there were long hours away from work and my own family. When the end came I was able to know I did all I could. At times I still miss her, but I know she appricated all I did for her. Yes you are tired, but your parents appricate all you do for them. And I hope they can be around longer because of your good works! We will pray for you and your family and I hope you can feel the group hug from all of us who love you!
