Satin cord tatting

So, I tatted a flower motif using satin cord and another using size 20 cotton thread. The stitch count is the same for both.  Here is how they measure up in size compared to each other.

  4. Oh my, what a huge motif! At one point I noticed a lot crochet rugs made with thick yarn. Your tatted motif made me think of a tatted rug.

  5. Wow that is some difference, you would need a large shuttle for that cord for anything. But it shows it can be done with thicker thread. Thank you for showing the difference.

    1. The interesting part is, I did not use a shuttle at all for the satin cord.
