By jove! Have I got it?
Continuing from previous post,
I think so ... do you?
This picture should explain what I was trying to achieve, i.e. getting the rings to overlap in the same direction all round.
Now, can I tat this again? hmmmm .......
Karen Cabrera's video showing how to do this is here.

Ooo, fascinating. Got to try this.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, well done!
ReplyDeleteLooks perfect, I definately think you've got it!
ReplyDeleteGood job!!! the hardest part is remembering which way the rings are going!
ReplyDeletefantastic Jon. that looks very good. congratulations you have earned the Gold medal. I can see a pattern of yours with this in the not so distant future.
ReplyDeleteI believe you have - got it, that is.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm thinking of seeing what kind of linked rings I could make and what could I DO with them...
Well done
ReplyDeleteMargaret
Oh ye, oh yes, oh YES!!!!!! I think you do!
ReplyDeleteThat looks great Jon! You definitely got it!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, this is so funny. I couldn't get the same effect the second time I tried. Could this be what Fox meant by an accident?
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the encouragement. I have to keep on trying, LOL.
That looks so great and I love the color choice!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think this is perfect! You may feel better to know that I can't get past the third ring! I'm glad Karen confirmed that knowing what direction you're headed is the crucial part. I'm finding that using variegated thread helps me figure out where I am, but I'm still struggling, and my wrist is sore, so I have to stop for awhile! Frivole is forging ahead beautifully, and I hope she can give us some tips!
ReplyDeleteYour rings look great, Jon!!!
ReplyDeleteThe rings look beautiful. I tried it too using Karen's video. Even though I got the rings to interlock, I think one of the rings was not in the right direction. What technique did you use to have them all in one direction. I would have never bothered to look if I did not pay attention to your post.
ReplyDeleteHow? (LOL) I fear it looks much easier than it really is.
