Problem leaving comments

I am having problems leaving comments on other blogs.  So far I have tried in two blogs and both won't allow me to.
I wanted to wish Gina of Threads of a Tatting Goddess continued good health on getting the good news on the remission.
I also wanted to say that I like the new line of hook shown on Tat's Heaven.  I wanted to suggest to 'Im in the garage' if it is possible to have it double-pointed, i.e. a hook at each end in different sizes ...... just a thought.

Just found out that I can't leave comments if the comment box is at the bottom of the post.  Had no trouble commenting if the comment box appears on a new screen.

  1. I used to have a similar problem. The suggestion at Google was to uncheck the box that says stay signed in. Then I had to sign in every time, but at least I could comment. After a while, the problem went away and I could stay signed in again.

  2. Thank you for your kind words Jon! One solution to the commenting problem is to uncheck the box that says "keep me logged in" when you log into blogger. I'm not sure what is causing the glitch but it's been an issue for quite awhile. I followed all the recommendations to make commenting easier for others but there are still some who can't comment.

  3. Sorry you were unable to leave a comment on my blog, strange things happen sometimes on blogs and I have also experienced what you have experienced and it is very frustrating. Thank you for your suggestion of a double-pointed one, the only disadvange to that idea is that it would not be possible for a ring to hang it by, but will put it to 'Im in the garage' - thank you

  4. Does Blogger keep kicking you out no matter how many times you sign in? I had that problem trying to leave comments at one point. I solved it by logging out, and when I logged back in I unchecked the "Stay signed in" box. Now I have to log back in to Blogger every time I go online, but I am able to leave comments without any trouble. Hope this helps.

  6. I had problems before trying to comment and I was told to check and make sure that when signing in to my account- that the box saying keep me signed in- was NOT checked. I don't know if that will help, but I hope so. :)

  7. This commenting problem keeps cropping up, and I thought they had it solved. It caused problems for a lot of bloggers back in May, and for me, also again in October. It was only happening in the 'imbedded' comment form, which many bloggers have. But somehow the problem cleared up for me (and I thought for everyone). I didn't make any changes to my computers (one has IE8 and the other IE9). Ironically, both times I could comment ONLY on Gins's blog, so I'm surprised you couldn't get through there. I know how frustrating it is!

  8. Jon, as I have learned with commenting, the facility to do so appears and disappears, seemingly at random!
It seems to be a problem of signing in to Google;at least, that's what I found, and sometimes it allows you to simply use your name. It's hit and miss in my experience, so I hope you won't be voicelss for long!

  9. That's interesting. I didn't realize that you could change how people post comments. But I just changed my settings if you ever want to comment on my blog :o)

  10. Thank you for all the suggestion. I just logged in and unchecked the 'keep me logged in' box and tried to comment again in Sally's post but was again rejected. Hmm .... as Maureen said, I'll be voiceless for a while.

Sally, you wrote that it may be a problem to place the ring for hanging if there are two hooks at each ends. Well, I suppose it is possible to extend the size of the cover of one end and place the ring there. But, I'll leave it to the good man 'in the garage' to ponder over this.

  11. Thanks Jon for a possible solution to the double ended hook without a ring
As you say it needs some in the garage feed back - we will work on it anyway.
